This report demonstrates how humanitarian resettlement programs can be designed to be effective, human rights-based, and sustainable. The report draws on the IRC’s international experience—including from Germany, the U.S., and the EU—as well as policy analyses and practical expertise. It offers three concrete recommendations for a forward-looking and solidarity-based protection policy, as well as for the humane implementation of humanitarian resettlement.
